The anniversary to celebrate:<\/h3>\n
[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”108637″]In 1961, the first season of \u2018The Avengers\u2019 aired, starring John Steed (played by Patrick Macnee) and Emma Peel (played by the incomparable Diana Rigg). The cult series, with its crime plot and more British flair than almost any other production for many years afterwards, is legendary and set new standards. Not only did John Steed drive a 4\u00bd-litre Bentley as his \u2018company car\u2019 and Emma Peel drive a Lotus Elan S3 convertible (which appeared in the series in 1966), but the \u2018work clothes\u2019 of the two protagonists were also \u2018a real statement of style!\u2019.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”137854″]It’s been 65 years \u2013 reason to celebrate \u2013 and at the celebration, we will of course be welcoming fans of the 1998 remake with open arms and taking them along on our journey through time.
