Press Accreditation
General Accreditation Rules — GRAND MEETING
We aim to facilitate journalists’ access to information about our events and organisation through accreditation. Accreditation is granted exclusively for the purpose of journalistic reporting.
Media accreditation may be granted to:
Individuals from Germany or abroad who can demonstrate their journalistic (including photojournalistic) work with relevance to the topics of automobiles, classic cars and motorsport, in one of the following ways:
- By submitting bylined articles that are no more than six months old at the time of the event.
- By submitting an imprint in which they are named as editors, regular editorial contributors or authors, dated no more than three months before the event.
- By submitting an original written commission from a full editorial team with reference to the current event.
- By providing a web link to an online publication that is established within the industry community and can demonstrate an appropriate reach. In such cases, advance accreditation is required due to the additional verification involved. Such online outlets must have been active for at least three months and must show regular, up-to-date entries with relevant subject matter.
- By submitting proof, no more than six months old, of working for a school newspaper; or by presenting a valid press card from a youth press organisation; or by submitting written confirmation from the school of their editorial work for the school paper.
- By holding a valid press card from a recognised national or international journalists’ association.
Please note that the presentation of a press card alone is generally not sufficient grounds for accreditation. The organiser reserves the right to request additional evidence of journalistic activity in accordance with points a – e above.
All documentation should be submitted in German or English. The organiser reserves the right, in individual cases, to additionally require a valid photo ID. There is no entitlement to accreditation.
The following groups will not be accredited:
- Individuals without journalistic credentials, such as account managers, sales managers, advertising managers, webmasters, PR consultants or private companions
- German nationals residing in Germany who present a foreign press card
- Individuals presenting a written commission from a freelance journalist
- Individuals who are active solely on social media in a private capacity
