A fascinating aspect of authentic and period-correct transport are the old racing transporters and service vehicles. They carry with them the flair of bygone days and tell the stories of past years. They blend seamlessly into the paddock, creating a complete and immersive picture.
Period-correct historic motorsport feeling
The “Old Race Transporters and Service Vehicles” meeting has become an integral part of the Grand Meeting. It will take place again in 2026 and will be given a very stylish location in the middle of the paddock – in the “Racing Legends” paddock.
In service of the “good old days”
Back then, old lorries, vans, transporters, VW buses, and Transits were part of every paddock scene at racetracks. They were constantly on the move to the Grand Prix events, in continuous service, providing essential support with spare parts, tyres, and batteries for the racing teams.
At the new festival site, Rittergut Birkhof, the Grand Meeting will once again showcase these historic racing transporters and service vehicles in their natural environment – among the Racing Legends paddock and team tents. They complete the picture of a historic paddock and offer a truly atmospheric glimpse back into the good old days.
