Hans-Joachim Stuck will be attending
the Grand Meeting 2026 as a guest of honour

Hans-Joachim “Strietzel” Stuck competed in Formula 1 between 1974 and 1979, then won the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1986 alongside Al Holbert and Derek Bell in a Porsche 962, and again the following year in 1987 in a Porsche 962C – the Rothmans Porsche – with the same team line-up: Derek Bell and Al Holbert.

In the Porsche 962 C, Stuck set a track record at Le Mans back in 1985 when he drove at an average speed of 251.815 km/h per lap. This record remained unbroken for 32 long years.

In 1990, he won the “German Touring Car Championship” – the precursor to today’s DTM – in an Audi V8 Quattro DTM, scoring 189 points. The son of the “King of the Hills”, Hans Stuck (1900–1978), has been a great supporter of ours for many years and has previously attended our festival as a driver for the 72stagpower “Jägermeister Racing” team and as a driver for the Autostadt.

In 2026, “Strietzel” will be taking part in the Grand Meeting alongside his son Ferdinand Stuck. The two of them – together with their second son, Johannes – had competed as a three-man team in a Lamborghini Gallardo under the name “Stuck³” in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in 2011.

Ferdinand and Hans-Joachim Stuck will be taking part in the Grand Meeting at the gathering of legendary drivers – adding some high-profile names to the ‘Next Generation’ and ‘Sons of Thunder’ line-ups.

Welcome to the Grand Meeting 2026, taking place from 31 July to 2 August.
